Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, browsing, or transacting on PlotHub (“PlotHub,” “we,” “us”) you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Who can use PlotHub

• You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking or list a property/event. Users aged 13–17 may browse but cannot transact.
• You agree to provide accurate registration details and to keep them up to date.
• You are responsible for everything that happens under your account; keep your password safe.

What PlotHub does

PlotHub is a marketplace that connects guests with event organisers and accommodation hosts in Uganda. We help you discover, book, and pay for events and stays. PlotHub itself is not the organiser of events listed on the platform and is not the owner or operator of properties listed by hosts; unless we say otherwise on a specific listing, we act as a booking and payment intermediary.

Bookings and payments

• All payments are processed through Flutterwave. By booking, you authorise Flutterwave to charge your selected payment method for the booking total plus any applicable fees.
• Prices are shown in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) unless stated otherwise. Taxes and service fees, where applicable, are shown before you confirm payment.
• A booking is only confirmed once payment is captured and you receive a confirmation (email, SMS, or in-app notification with a QR ticket where relevant).
• Tickets and booking confirmations are personal to you. You may not resell or transfer them outside PlotHub without the organiser's or host's consent.

Cancellations and refunds

Each event organiser and property host sets their own cancellation policy, which is shown on the listing before you book. Where a refund is due:

• We process the refund through Flutterwave. Funds typically return to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on the bank or mobile-money provider.
• If an event is cancelled or a host cancels a stay through no fault of yours, you are entitled to a full refund of amounts paid through PlotHub.
• Disputes between guests and hosts/organisers should first be raised with the other party. If unresolved, contact plothubug26@gmail.com within 30 days of the booking date and we will mediate using the records on file.

Host and organiser responsibilities

• You must have the legal right to list the property or run the event you publish on PlotHub.
• Listings must be accurate. Photos, descriptions, prices, capacity, and house rules must reflect what guests will actually receive.
• You are responsible for any taxes and licences that apply to your listing under Ugandan law.
• PlotHub may remove listings that violate these terms or applicable law, with or without notice in serious cases.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use PlotHub for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful to others.
• Post content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringes someone else's rights.
• Scrape, copy, or build a competing service from PlotHub's content without our written permission.
• Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or payment controls, or to access accounts that are not yours.

Content you post

You keep ownership of content you upload (listings, photos, reviews). You grant PlotHub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and promote that content on the platform and in PlotHub marketing while it is posted. You can delete your content at any time, after which the licence ends except for copies in routine backups.

Disclaimers

PlotHub is provided “as is.” While we work hard to keep the service reliable, we do not guarantee that listings will always be available, that events will go ahead exactly as advertised, or that the platform will be free of bugs or interruptions. Your use of any third-party event or accommodation is at your own risk and is subject to that organiser's or host's own terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Ugandan law, PlotHub is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid PlotHub for the booking giving rise to the claim, or (b) UGX 500,000.

Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, repeatedly cancel confirmed bookings, attempt fraud, or pose a safety risk to other users. You can close your own account at any time from Profile → Privacy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of Kampala, Uganda, unless mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any change. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect; continuing to use PlotHub after that means you accept the new terms.
